Where Can You Get a Discontinued 65-Gallon and Up Electric Water Heater?

The U.S. government often looks for ways to help us reduce our environmental footprints and save energy inside of our homes and businesses. Recently, new government regulations via the National Appliance Energy Conservation Act (NAECA) have mandated that water heater manufacturers can no longer make electric water heaters of a certain size. However, because this has a big effect on many homes and commercial properties, contractors are still allowed to sell and install these units—although there is a limited supply left.

Do you need an electric water heater replacement?

If you currently have an electric water heater over 55 gallons in capacity that is over 15 years old, it’s a good idea to schedule a replacement. These water heaters have been completely discontinued, and you won’t get another opportunity to install a low-price system. While other electric water heater types (such as heat pump water heaters) may suffice as a replacement, these high-efficiency units tend to be pricier. And for many homes, a gas water heater is simply not an option, since no gas hookup is available in the home.

You can have a technician inspect your existing system during a maintenance visit to find out if it is in need of a replacement. If your system is in great condition and can hold up for another decade or so, a replacement probably isn’t necessary. But one that is at risk of failing soon should be replaced ASAP.

Where can you get a large electric water heater?

If you are looking for a large electric water heater, call your local technicians to find out if they carry and install these units. Remember, water heater manufacturers are prohibited from manufacturing these systems, and only select local companies will have them in stock. Make sure you only have a trained plumber install your water heater so that it functions properly for years to come.

Admiral Plumbing Services, LLC installs the discontinued 65-gallon, 80-gallon, and 120-gallon electric water heaters in the Lake Worth area, but only while supplies last. Call our super friendly team for exceptional service today!
