There’s an ancient proverb we’d like to mention that takes many forms, but it has withstood the test of time. “Water will wear away rock, which is rigid and strong and cannot yield.” While this can mean any number of things that relate to someone’s character or strengths, we want to focus on a literal interpretation of this proverb. Water will wear away rocks, metals, and even some of the strongest materials in existence. Just because something is labeled as being able to withstand water, doesn’t mean it will over 10, 20, or 100 years.

This matters in our line of work because a home’s slab (foundation) is concrete or stone, which means it will eventually be worn down by water.
